City Seeks Community Feedback on Alpine & Latah Safety Improvements
The City of Boise is studying the Latah Street and Alpine Street intersection to identify ways to improve safety, accessibility, and parking for everyone who travels through the area.
The study focuses on creating safer connections for people walking, biking, and driving, with proposed concepts that include enhanced crosswalks, pedestrian refuge islands, new sidewalks, multi-use pathways, and improved access to nearby destinations such as Morris Hill Park and Jefferson Elementary School. Parking improvements are also being evaluated as part of the project.
At this stage, the City is gathering public feedback on three proposed design alternatives. Community input will help shape future improvements as funding becomes available. While the current study is funded, construction funding has not yet been secured.
If you live, work, attend school, or regularly travel through this part of Depot Bench, now is a great time to review the proposed concepts and share your thoughts.
