Free Tree Giveaway Coming to the Boise Farmers Market
Trees Idaho is bringing its annual tree giveaway back to the Boise Farmers Market, offering 700 free trees to Treasure Valley residents. Thanks to support from the Arbor Day Foundation and Subaru of America, the event is open to everyone, regardless of where they live.
Visitors will have the opportunity to choose from several tree species, including Red Maple, Redbud, Tuliptree, and Kousa Dogwood. Trees will be available in 1-gallon containers, standing approximately 2–4 feet tall, and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. A suggested $10 donation will help support future tree planting and community forestry programs.
The giveaway will take place at the Boise Farmers Market, located at 1500 Shoreline Drive, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Look for the green Trees Idaho tent, where staff and volunteers will be available to answer questions and provide planting tips.
Events like this help expand the Treasure Valley's urban tree canopy while giving residents an opportunity to invest in healthier, greener neighborhoods. Whether you're planting your first tree or adding to your landscape, it's a great opportunity to bring lasting benefits to your home and community.
