Construction is underway on a new mixed-use development at 10 S. Latah Street, located at the southeast corner of Latah Street and Alpine Street in the Depot Bench neighborhood.

The four-story project will include 42 apartment homes, ground-floor retail space, resident amenities, bicycle parking, and on-site vehicle parking. The retail space is intended to serve neighborhood-oriented businesses and contribute to the growing commercial corridor along Latah Street.

Throughout the planning and approval process, members of the Depot Bench Neighborhood Association attended public meetings and participated in discussions with the project team. The association shared feedback on topics including pedestrian safety, visibility at the Alpine and Latah intersection, reducing opportunities for unsafe mid-block crossings, and the potential impacts of increased traffic and parking demand in the surrounding area.

As construction progresses, the Depot Bench Neighborhood Association will continue to share updates on projects that shape our neighborhood and encourage residents to stay informed and participate in future community planning opportunities.
